Kathmandu - Future Tech

Kathmandu is a retail chain based in New Zealand that specialises in outdoor apparel. It was founded in Christchurch in 1987. Kathmandu has branded and identified itself with the spirit of outdoor exploration and adventure. Because of this, we decided to implement our tech product into Kathmandu footwear. We believe that our idea fits very well into Kathmandu’s brand identity and promotes exploration of the outdoors. The product will be implemented through a new line of footwear called Kathmandu Trackers, GPS footwear powered by adventure. To roll out the Trackers we came up with an advertising campaign that targets the insight that even a trained tracker can’t track you over certain terrains. The ad depicts foot-tracks over surfaces where you normally wouldn’t find them.
